DX Diary for 2015

 The British DX Club has posted their annual calendar of events for 2015. Four significant dates DXers worldwide may want to take note include: World Radio Day, Annual SW Broadcast of Radio Öömrang, the A-15 Schedule and the British Antarctic Survey Annual Mid-winter Broadcast. 


FEBRUARY
Friday, 13 February 2015: World Radio Day 2015 - marking the theme Youth and Radio.

Saturday, 21 February 2015: Annual SW Broadcast of Radio Öömrang from Amrum Island, German North Frisian Islands. Tentatively 1600-1659 UTC on 15215 kHz via Nauen in Frisian dialect, German and English. QSLs via transmitter operator Media Broadcast: qsl-shortwave@media-broadcast.com

MARCH
Sunday, 29 March 2015: Start of A-15 Schedule period. Clocks change to summer time in most of Europe. Many international broadcasters change their schedules on this date.

JUNE
Sunday, 21 June 2015: British Antarctic Survey Annual Mid-winter Broadcast via BBC World Service to BAS staff in Antarctica on midwinter's day in Antarctica. (The schedule in 2014 was is 2130-2200 UTC on 5875-Woofferton UK, 5985-Dhabbaya (UAE), 7350-Ascension). BBC Woofferton issued an eQSL last year.
